My dear little friend that had his quilt burnt in a house fire will be receiving a little bear made from what I could salvaged from that quilt. This bear pattern is from Funky Friends called Honey Bear.

I was asked if I could fix this quilt, but instead I made a new quilt using lots of the same leftover fabrics. See my blog dated December 13, 2023.
When I gave the new quilt to my little friend he was excited, but also sad to let the old quilt go. I asked him if I could make him a little bear from his old quilt and he told me that he would love that.
The bear was almost finished a month ago, but I had a hard time finding eyes for it. I live in a small town in northern Michigan with no resources for sewing or crafting supplies. It's about an hour drive to a larger town. I looked online, but wasn't sure what size worked best. Finally I found perfect eyes. I will be delivering this new little bear to my friend later this week.
I've been very busy sewing this past month. Lots of irons in the fire and many projects to share.
